Building my portfolio website.

How it started

I've been trying to make a personal website for a long time now. The only thing that constantly set me back was my ambitions... I wanted it to be way more complicated than it needed to be, way over my capacities at the time. I've made several versions, some very simple like this 'business card' thing or this first try at tailwind css.

The hardest part

While some might think writing lines of code is complicated (and it is most of the time), the most complicated part for me was to talk about myself and make this part of the web actually mine.

What have I learned from this?

Well, all this trial and error gave me an 'excuse' to build websites. Granted, they weren't the most beautiful, but at least they worked and served their purpose. I learned a lot making them, and discovered new technologies even though I haven't used all of them in my projects. It made me more curious about building websites, designing them, the importance of versioning. In the end, it made me accept that my work can be flawed and that I can always improve my work (and myself).
